Let’s celebrate women in science

According to United Nations data, less than 30% of scientific researchers worldwide are women. A lot of factors, such as family decisions, financial considerations, workplace cultures and discrimination influence this unfortunate state of art. This is however not undefeatable. By promoting and supporting girls and women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields we can all contribute to reverse the trend.

Today, we, as a company would like to celebrate the women in science and encourage young girls to not be afraid of embracing a scientific career. Women represent wonderful leaders, smart thinkers and resistant workers than can achieve amazing results if encouraged and supported.

Since years at Sunstar we are rewarding specialists that are making great findings in the oral care domain and creating innovative treatments. On February 11, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we would like to highlight these amazing women that contributed to the oral health research. Please join us in this celebration!
