03 May 2015

It was held on the weekend of May 2-3, which featured numerous running and walking events for all ages and abilities culminating in the full marathon and relay marathon. The total number of participants for the whole event over the two days was 16,107 runners, a record to date.

The two teams from Sunstar, the “Suns of Sunstar” and the “Stars of Sunstar”, took part in the 42.195km with individual racing distances ranging from 4.7km to 9.5km. Rain showers accompanied the runners but nevertheless the results were notable!

The “Suns of Sunstar” results: 216 of 356 teams; Time: 04:02:06

The “Stars of Sunstar” results: 52 of 356 teams; Time: 03:34:21

One of the participants, an expatriate in Switzerland since April this year, commented: “It was a very positive experience, I encourage everyone to join these kinds of events. We were an international team from SSSA, doing our best towards the same objective. The result didn’t matter. I believe that Sunstar got some recognition and that we all benefitted from this unique challenge.”

We are proud of our colleagues for their motivation and excellent teamwork!
